An international carrier sought a design for one of their key customers for a Gb circuit to be delivered to a difficult location in Scotland.
Leveraging our extensive network in this area SSE Telecoms were able to design a solution that enabled this connectivity within the required timeframe and within the end customer's budget.
SSE Telecoms upgrade bandwidth for long standing Carrier
A solution was required to deliver fully diverse connectivity between 3 key UK locations to upgrade the existing bandwidth and utilising both Gb and Ethernet connectivity. The primary goal was to achieve both local and national diversity at all locations and within a set budget and timeline.
Working with both the Carrier and the end customer directly, we found a bespoke solution with mapping detailing the exact route of all circuits. This solution was subsequently installed within the clients time scale.

A well established Scottish Data Centre operator decided to design and build a new Tier 3 state of the art facility remotely from their current data hall location. They sought a solution to their requirement for a new power supply and dark fibre connectivity.
In-depth consultation and investigations were carried out by both SSE Power Systems and SSE Telecom's. The dual solution of power and dark fibre connectivity into the new site was implemented. This installation engineered in tandem with both project management teams, offered economical and environmental benefits as well as a reduction in construction work and time scales. Our client now benefits from optimum bespoke power supply and unlimited on net bandwidth to our national fibre network.
Utility Company seek SSE Telecoms expertise in connectivity solutions
Another prominent European utility company experienced unreliable and delayed delivery to their projects. They approached SSE Telecoms for assistance in delivering both data and telephony services to both current and new wind farm projects. Recoginising SSE as an innovator in this field, experienced in designing, building and operating multiple renewable generation projects throughout Scotland and the UK.

SSE Telecoms finds optimum network solution for National Broadband supplier
A major supplier of national broadband services was running out of capacity on a core route in the South coast of England. This was starting to impact on the services provided to its broadband customers.
Working closely with our clients engineering team SSE Telecoms designed a new 10G solution that ensured capacity would be available for the foreseeable future. Our quick implementation helped the client to offer a more efficient broadband service and reduced the risk of reaching capacity.
SSE Telecoms overcome challenge to create on net Data Centre campus
A primary provider of Data Centre services located in the North West of England is enjoying significant growth. As a result they needed to expand their available DC space and core network infrastructure to serve their growing client base. The addition of a geographically separate building presented a challenge to create an 'on-net data centre campus' without comprising core network latency and bandwidth scalability. Furthermore, their growing customer base continues to exponentially increase bandwidth levels across their core network between the North West and their key London hub and international peering points.
Working strategically with our client and using our extensive network, we were able to design a bespoke dark fibre solution that created the required campus environment. At the same time we were able to leverage our national network reach delivering the required 10Gb high bandwidth capacity to the clients London hub.

Our client, a provider of unique, highly secure Data Centre space and Managed Hosting services needed to increase the capacity of their core network to facilitate growth and future campus expansion. In addition, the required 10Gb high bandwidth service had to meet their strict network design/routing principles and fall within budget.

SSE Telecoms connects regional hubs for Data Centre using dark fibre network
A medium sized data centre on the outskirts of Manchester wanted to increase the marketability of their site.
Using our extensive dark fibre network in Manchester to connect in to the Key regional hubs and our contracting capability, we were able to deliver real benefits to the client, helping to reduce costs, increase carrier diversity and provide virtually unlimited bandwidth to their on site customers.
SSE Telecoms works with suppliers to provide resilient network solution
A tier 1 international carrier wanted to increase their coverage in to Key sites in London.
SSE Telecoms were able to construct in to the site directly by using our own dark fibre. We were also able to leverage our extensive and deep supplier base to gain access to dark fibre from another provider. This offered the resilient connection.
SSE Telecoms increases on site capacity
Our client, a medium sized data centre in Cambridgeshire wanted to increase their on-site capacity from 200Mbps to 10Gbps.
We were able to utilise our construction skills and fibre rich environment to directly connect to the site, and deliver real value to our client by removing a reliance on third party tail providers.
